For its reopening, the LaM is rethinking the hanging of its collection with a new thematic and original journey called Obsession.

Designed as an exhibition, it explores repetition, permanence and creative intensity throughout the 20th and 21 st centuriesthrough an unprecedented dialogue between modern art, art brut and contemporary art.

Some monographic rooms dedicated to great figures of art such as Amedeo Modigliani, Henry Darger or Miriam Cahn alternate with thematic spaces offering a lively and renewed reinterpretation of the collection.

To enrich this experience, exceptional pieces from the Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap), and recent acquisitions, such as a rare drawing by Amedeo Modigliani, punctuate the journey, creating new connections and unexpected dialogues.
